What do you get when you mix animatronics, pneumatics, some excellent actors and a 20' spider, with some cocky teens that were trash talking in line before your haunt? Watch "BeautifulScreams.avi" to find out >:)

Animatronic Skull | |||
This is the begining of my Animatronic skull. This will be mounted on the frame inside the dungeon door. I plan on getting a asudio/servo interface from cowlacious to drive the jaw. So far I have the eye motion done and I plan to make the neck pan left/right. I will be using a laptop computer running roboware. and using a mini ssc to convert serial to servo signals. I hope to be able to make some hands/with animated fingers using some other serveos I have. Depends on the amount of time I have. :)
Dungeon Door | |||
This is the dungeon door that will replace the front door to our house. It will allow the fog machine, the fog chiller and the operators to all be hidden from view. The fog will exit from the bottom slot and the "speak easy" window will slam open to reveal the animatronic skull mounted on the torso frame. As designed, the prop should pop-forward after the window slams up. This also allows the door to drop onto the props fingers for some comedy if the operator chooses to do so. :) Though not mounted yet, the door will have a "knocker" placed right bebeath the speak easy window. This will be linked with a piezo sensor to my electronic drum kit that will trigger a very large very low pitched booming tom drum with a huge reverb on it. When the knocker is used it'll sound like a huge cavern is behind the door. As I get more built I'll try to update the page.

Flying Crank Ghost Frame
This is the flying crank ghost frame I created using a motor from allelectronics, three pieces of L shaped aluminum stock and a few pullies. Total cost for the frame was less than 30 dollars. I'll try to get some better pictures, as I was in a hurry. Also the motor that was purchased from all electronics is a snap to install since it has four mounting "studs" that I simply drilled four matching holes to accomodate. Again,. better pictures when I have it completed. :)
